Spring Takes a Holiday

Once upon a time, there was a season called Spring.

Several weeks after March 20th, a city named Boise was enjoying the mildness for which Spring was famed. Camelback park drew both peasants and royalty to its balmy, verdant trails.

Minstrels wrote songs in the streets, and fruit salad was bountiful, rejoicing with colors and free outdoor wi-fi.

Even the Library shouted with joy.

And then...

Popcorn fell from the sky. At first, the townspeople were overjoyed and opened their mouths, gorging on the delicious magic "snow".

When they realized it was hail, they ran through the streets seeking refuge in espresso dens.

Even the Library was shouting with displeasure.
And then...

delighting in the return of Spring, the traveling Shakespeareans skipped merrily Eastward on Monday, April 5th

only to find that Spring did not follow.

The powerful mountains between Boise and Pocatello had held Spring behind and caused several delays in the troupe's appointments. 3 Days later, they returned to Boise, exhausted and though the snow was gone, Spring was nowhere to be found. The perplexed Shakespeareans fell fast asleep and had fitful Wednesday dreams...

Auspicious trees seemed to say that the mountains would never return Spring to the land. In the wee hours of Friday morning, the cast of Othello performed a show in these dreams...

...and awoke in Horseshoe Bend, eating a delicious breakfast, greeted by sunlight and affectionate angels!

heralding Spring's return.

Sit. Stay, Spring. Live happily ever after--or at least for Spring's lease...
